My name is Ronit Prasad. I am a 14-year-old innovator at The Knowledge Society. I am mainly interested in aerospace engineering and future transportation. AI, robotics, computer science, and other topics also intrigue me. I enjoy meeting new people and socializing with my friends. Going forward, I am looking towards continuing learning more about aerospace and I am striving to become an entrepreneur/CEO.
Say Goodbye To Your Average Malware Detectors!
In mid-October, we created a team of four people to participate in the TKS Global AI Hackathon. Our idea was to create a stronger and more effective malware detector. We called our project “A1 Central”. Creative, ain’t it?
Here’s a pitch we made:
Shout out to Aniket Majumder (one who speaks in the video), Nivan Gujral, and Myles Sherman for being great team members!
Key takeaways:
Teamwork is a highly imperative skill - We all relied on each other to get the project done. If we hadn’t had each other’s back, we wouldn’t have gotten to this position today.
Time management and planning are key ideas - We ended up rushing near the end of the hackathon because of our poor time management. Our planning was highly coerced and inflexible with our ideas.
Communication is underrated - Communication is something that I personally struggled with. It was hard to keep track of ideas and get those ideas instilled in the minds of my peers. If I had learned how to communicate more effectively with my team members, we could’ve gotten a much better end result.
The Future of Ride-Sharing with Uber Elevate
While learning about Advanced Transportation in TKS, I was highly intrigued by Uber Elevate. So intrigued in fact that my first article (which is being written right now) talks about the main logistics behind the system. Everything from the vehicles to the passenger experience to the impact it has on the environment had something for me to delve deeper into. I fell down a YouTube loophole after learning about Elevate which further fueled my interest in this concept.
Specifically, this video:
It’s cool right?
Is Climate Change Getting to You? We’re Here to Help
Climate change. It’s inevitable. However, a couple of my friends and I created an app called HelioTerras. This app attempts to reduce the carbon footprint of the user through certain tasks and habits that the user can do.
Here’s a short video explaining our app:
My Personal Website (under construction)
Yes, I’ve started to create one. Shout out to Nivan Gujral for strongly recommending me to make one! A personal website will help grow my connections and allow others to learn more about me all in one place! To see my website, go here.
It’s not the best. As I said, it’s still being made, so it is subject to change.
My Goals for November 2020
Continue to meet new people - It is important for everyone to grow their network as it will become a useful tool in the future. That being said, I will attempt to meet as many people as possible and gain key takeaways from those meets.
Continue with my Focus - As I said earlier, I am working on an article about Uber Elevate. I hope to finish that article and expand my curiosity for similar concepts.
Enjoy spending time with my friends - I have never really struggled witht this, but it’s something that I find to be vital for myself as I grow and mature.
Better manage my time - That includes more timeboxing and tracking what I do in my day in order to stay organized and structured.
